Welcome! I am participating in the nationwide virtual bake sale, Bake the Vote, by selling mini (5 inch) pies. I’ll be focusing on good ol’ American favorite fall flavors, pumpkin, s’mores, Boston Cream, and mixed berry. Because what’s more American than pie and democracy? As with all things I make, everything here is gluten free (but I promise nothing tastes like it). Each pie will also be nut free and soy free, and I’ve done my best to include major allergy information in each description. All products are handmade by me in my kitchen, so please expect some variability in design. I assure you that I am taking every possible safety precaution to insure your health and safety. I’m immunocompromised, so my kitchen is the most sanitized it’s ever been and I’ve been quarantining for months for my own safety, but I will wear a mask when completing you order. If you have any questions about allergy or safety information, ask away!
The purpose of the overall sale is to donate to organizations that are ensuring a fair election, preserving everyone's right to vote and creating pathways for true equality. All proceeds that I receive will go to the Native American Voting Rights Coalition. “The Native American Voting Rights Coalition is a non-partisan alliance of national and grassroots organizations, scholars, and activists advocating for equal access for Native Americans to the political process. The Native American Rights Fund founded the coalition in 2015 to facilitate collaboration among Coalition members and to coordinate efforts at overcoming the many barriers Native Americans face in registering to vote, casting their ballot, and having an equal voice in elections.” In 2020, the global pandemic has magnified already existing issues and added some new ones to the list, especially the addition of safety that should be provided with voting-by-mail. Click here for a broad look at how voting and census obstacles disproportionately affect the Native American and Alaskan Native communities.
Thank you for visiting! And please, please vote (and complete the census!).
